Young Horticulture is a multi-disciplinary, owner-operated horticultural company run by director Gordon Young who has 20 years International Experience in all aspects of horticulture
Having qualified with a B.Sc. (Agric.) degree Gordon has experience gained through running the family owned business, Bella Gardens, that still exists in South Africa today and which employed 120 people at its peak and entailed a Retail nursery. The business was passed on to brother Struan on moving to Perth. Gordon's other brother Andrew (founder member of Bella Gardens) now runs a Landscaping business in Kettering England.
Gordon serves on the executive committee of the Landscape Industries Association of WA (LIAWA) and represents WA Landscapers on the Green Industries 'Peak Body' (TLIA) Turf and Landscape Industries Association which has representatives from all the major associations in horticulture and related fields.
Gordon operates as a Consultant and Landscape Designer offering computerised (CAD) designs with unique 3D walkthrough and Snapshot features. Services associated with this vary from one-off consulting and advice, CAD designs, (also suited to D.I.Y)., Construction and Maintenance of the Landscape Design through Project Management. A Plant Brokerage service is offered supplying the plants and materials at wholesale prices on a cost-plus basis.
